The BIGGEST PREDATOR On 90 Day Fiancé: The Case Of Geoffrey Paschel

If by the end of this story you still do not agree that this is the craziest, darkest, and most scandalous tale ever told on 90-Day Fiancé, then I challenge you to name one that runs deeper into true darkness. Especially after everything that is about to unfold: all the twists, all the turns, all the lies, and all the scandals that stretch back across decades.

He is an extreme danger to society. Geoffrey Paschel’s attractive appearance, his friendly southern drawl, and his seemingly vulnerable boy-next-door charm created a total package that felt far too good to be true.

He was an artful and skilled liar who truly believed he would get away with everything. Viewers at first saw Geoffrey and Varya as the season’s favorites, but that impression did not last long because the entire act was nothing more than a carefully built facade.

When the mask finally slipped away for the whole world to witness, chaos followed close behind. They are still not over the damage that was left in its wake.

Now Geoffrey stands as the perfect example of a wolf dressed in sheep’s clothing because looks can deceive so easily. At first glance, no one would immediately assume that the man before them was a career criminal who had spent decades using his superficial charm to manipulate and use the women who entered his life.

The victims in those earlier cases did not follow through with their stories. By the time you reach the end of this account, you will see just how far his web of destruction truly reaches.

The more you discover, the more questions will arise, but do not worry because we are going to answer every single one today. How did Geoffrey move from facing what seemed like minimal charges to receiving a sentence of eighteen years in prison?

What in the world has been happening? We are going to explore it all.

You are going to hear directly from past girlfriends. You are going to watch police body cam footage and trial testimony.

The twists and turns in this story are shocking. He has certain aspects to him that feel very dark and genuinely evil.

So today let us step into the dark and twisted tale of the 90-day nightmare that is Geoffrey Paschel. Illusions and perspectives, when abused or mismanaged, can become extremely dangerous.

But when used for good or for simple entertainment, think about magicians for a moment. They use their illusions to entertain, to bring smiles, or to spark wonder.

Magicians figured out the power of illusion long ago. They direct their audience’s attention through clever distractions even while performing their tricks right in front of everyone.

In their world of magic, illusion is everything. And rightfully so because the audience knows exactly what they are paying for and what they expect to receive.

But the real danger appears when illusions are twisted to deceive the innocent and the unsuspecting for harmful purposes. It has been said in many different ways before that even when we recognize deception, if it is presented well enough we still tend to believe the illusion more strongly.

Mark Twain captured it best when he observed that it is easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled. And oh, Geoffrey Paschel proved himself a true master of illusion.

He created the illusion of being a wonderful father, an outstanding citizen, and a hopeless romantic simply searching for his one true love. The world first met Geoffrey during his appearance on TLC’s Before the 90 Days Season 4.

Geoffrey was presented as this country hunk from Nashville, Tennessee, who had simply been unlucky in love. He claimed he found “the one” when an online dating site suddenly appeared on his screen one day.

Her name was Varya, a spunky young woman with a bubbly personality who lived in Russia. On the show, Geoffrey came across as a dutiful single father devoted to his children and in genuine need of love after making a few mistakes in his younger days.

Geoffrey said, “Growing up I was a bad boy, but all that changed when I became a father.” But he insisted the past was completely behind him.

He emphasized that he was no longer that young, naive man. This version of Geoffrey had experienced real personal growth, and he claimed he barely recognized who that earlier person had been.

Geoffrey said, “All I know is that my past is in the past. My actions have shown that I’ve shown, I’ve shown everybody around me that that’s not me. That really wasn’t me. What matters in this moment is that it’s never going to happen again. Never.”

Pretty much as soon as Geoffrey stepped foot in Russia, the two lovebirds faced strife and struggles almost immediately. There were early glimpses of Geoffrey’s quick temper that appeared on the show.

He actually became upset with Varya for not being completely honest about speaking to another American man while they were getting to know each other. Varya said, “I used to communicate with another American before I met you, and I didn’t tell him about that.”

Now why mention his audacity in getting angry? Because his reaction came from a man who was still allegedly legally married and who was also engaged to someone else at the same time.

Go figure. This guy’s entitled logic makes no sense, and he clearly has a hot temper.

You can see how quickly he goes from zero to a hundred and becomes heated the moment Varya’s friends begin asking him questions. They asked, “Have you any secrets that you don’t say, Varya?”

Geoffrey replied, “I mean I have a past but I don’t talk about my past. I don’t, I don’t ask about her past.”

Varya’s friends’ instincts were right on target; they did not trust a single word coming from him. In order to regain control of the situation, he exploded, got right in Varya’s face, pointed his finger at her while yelling, and then stormed off.

Geoffrey shouted, “It’s not funny. This is ridiculous. You lied to me. I’m done!”

I want to make a very important note here. His behavior is already unacceptable enough as it is, but imagine if that same conversation had happened behind closed doors with only him and Varya present.

You have to remember that when he blew up, it was right in front of four of her friends. Usually people are on their very best behavior when first trying to impress someone they like along with their friends and family.

Not to mention there was a whole crew of TLC camera people watching everything. Just keep that in mind when considering how quickly this man probably loses control when no one else is around and when no one can hold him accountable.

One friend said, “Hey, you just want to come to America?” Varya replied, “No, no, nothing. Take it easy.”

After that night of him acting like a complete fool, a few days later he decided to have his own moment of revelation. He finally told Varya a secret he had been keeping from her.

Geoffrey said, “I went to prison for a couple years for selling drugs.” Just remember, only days earlier he had lost his temper because she had withheld information about speaking to another man.

Varya was obviously hurt, and they took some time apart to think things over until they met again to decide their future. It was during this period that Varya told Geoffrey she could accept the fact that he had a criminal past.

She insisted that Geoffrey tell her mother about his history. Funny enough, Geoffrey tried one last time to persuade Varya not to share the information with her family.

Geoffrey asked, “How am I supposed to tell that to my mother? Do you—do we really have to tell? You sure you want your mom to know?” Varya answered, “Yeah, absolutely.”

But she stood firm, and good for her. The moment finally arrived for Geoffrey to bravely reveal his deep dark secret.

Remember, he claimed he wanted everything out in the open. He wanted Varya and her family to know the full truth about his past.

Geoffrey told them, “I got mixed up with, I guess, the bad—a bad crowd, and started selling drugs and I went to prison.” He pleaded with the family that he was now a changed man and deserved to be with Varya.

Varya’s family offered a very different perspective on his past, saying that people like this do not change. In hindsight, it was an ominous warning that does not apply to everyone, but in Geoffrey’s case it proved to be an accurate foreshadowing of what was to come.

One family member said, “People don’t change.” In the end, Varya turned down his proposal mainly because of all the overwhelming information he had kept hidden from her.

Let us be honest here. Things were not going well at all.

The man had exploded in front of her friends just five days after arriving. Varya had every right to feel reservations, but she did not fully say no; she simply needed more time to think.

Geoffrey became angry and left to return home. But what happened next is that Varya eventually traveled to visit him in Tennessee.

They fell deeply in love, Geoffrey proposed again, and this time Varya accepted. At last, Prince Charming had found his princess.

They lived happily ever after, right? Not even close.

This is where our real story begins, and it is where the fairy tale transforms into an absolute nightmare. A few weeks into the show’s airing, after it had premiered for audiences everywhere, people fell in love with the reformed and likable Geoffrey and his Russian girlfriend.

Who does not want to root for the underdog? Yes, he had a troubled past involving drugs when he was younger, but he seemed like a changed man who deserved love and happiness.

They were one of the show’s favorite couples for those early weeks. But after a few episodes, bombshell information began leaking out to the public that finally pulled back the curtain and shattered the illusion he had worked so hard to create.

For starters, during the filming of the show, Geoffrey was still legally married to a woman named Brittney. They had actually met at an airport in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2014.

Geoffrey was thirty-six at the time, and Brittney was a nineteen-year-old Canadian citizen. Like all his other relationships, this one moved extremely fast.

After only two months of knowing each other, Brittney moved into Geoffrey’s home in Tennessee. By the following year in January 2015, the two were married.

Two months later she gave birth to their son Kayvan, and two years after that she had another son named Kazhem. They went through a bitter custody battle in the years that followed as she wanted to return to Canada with the boys.

Brittney filed for divorce from Geoffrey in 2017 along with a restraining order. One thing that remains difficult to track is the exact number of wives, girlfriends, and children connected to this man.

One thing you quickly learn about Geoffrey is that as long as his lips are moving, lies are usually pouring out. While on the show he admitted to having four children, but one ex-girlfriend has alleged the number could be as high as twelve.

But one of the most shocking claims about his children comes from his second ex-wife. According to court documents filed during a custody dispute over one of their children, there were serious allegations.

The documents stated, “Mother has taken the position that father should not have co-parenting time with the party’s son because he is a danger to the child.” This was “due to his practice of selling opiate medication and historic involvement of his children as a cover or mule in his illegal activities.”

The mother of his child accused Geoffrey of using his own children as covers or mules for drug activity. These claims are outrageous, and if true they reveal just how callous and dangerous he can be.

If that information is not shocking enough, it was discovered that right before he flew to Russia to meet Varya, he had been arrested. One month earlier he faced charges of aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault, interference with a 9-1-1 call, and vandalism.

You may be wondering against whom he committed these acts. Against his legal wife? No, this incident involved another woman he was engaged to.

I am sure dates and faces are spinning in your mind just as they are in mine. I remember thinking how this could even be possible.

This guy is married but also engaged, yet one month earlier he had a domestic incident with his girlfriend or fiancée. Then he flies off to meet Varya less than a month later. What in the world is happening?

Do not worry because we are going to walk through the entire timeline of events in detail. For now, let us look back at his time on the show with fresh eyes.

In hindsight, so many moments now carry entirely different meanings than when we first watched them. Can you remember how Geoffrey mentioned he had gone to prison for past drug convictions but insisted that was all behind him?

Geoffrey said, “I started dealing drugs. I was eventually caught. I was sentenced to 30 months in prison. I’m not proud of my past, I’m not, but it is my past.”

Geoffrey knew perfectly well that only weeks earlier he had been arrested and accused of violent crimes against his fiancée. Yet he had the audacity to become furious with Varya for withholding information from him.

He told her, “You’ve been dishonest with me… it’s not funny. No, it’s not funny. You lied to me. I’m done!”

Remember how eager he seemed to tell Varya and her family everything about his past? He claimed he was ready to lay it all out there.

Geoffrey said, “I’m really worried that Varya will not accept me for who I am when she finds out everything about me because I have not been completely honest with Varya about my past.”

I cannot imagine what Varya’s mother would have thought if she had known the complete truth in that moment. Not half-truths or partial truths, but the full unfiltered reality.

That incident had happened only four or five weeks earlier when this man was capable of unspeakable violence against the woman he supposedly loved. Now the proposal scene feels even more disturbing.

Here was a married man who was engaged to another woman proposing to yet another woman. Let us not forget the violent incident that occurred just weeks before; it is extremely important.

As I mentioned earlier, fans were outraged when details about Geoffrey’s shady past began leaking while the show was still airing. Fans sent letter after letter and email after email to TLC demanding that Geoffrey be removed from the show.

At the very least they wanted him banned from the tell-all episodes that usually wrap up each season. These specials provide updates on the couples and discuss their current relationship status.

On top of everything else, it is important to understand just how much of a womanizer Geoffrey truly is. It seems every relationship he has been in has involved some form of infidelity.

It is my belief that he views women as objects to be used. He has given several interviews on a show called the Dominique Naughty Show on YouTube.

Much of what he said during those appearances has been very revealing. During one interview he claimed to have slept with over five hundred women.

The host asked, “How many females have you had sex with in your life?” Geoffrey answered, “500.”

The host pressed further, “You’ve had sex with 500 women? Maybe a little more? Is that being honest? Is that a lot?” To me, he seems addicted to female attention, and that addiction appears insatiable.

I am sure you know that reality shows almost always require participants to sign nondisclosure agreements. One of the big mysteries each season is whether the couples stay together in the end.

This was something many fans were wondering about at the time. Many people expressed concern for Varya’s safety, especially after learning about his most recent allegations.

There ended up being a group of women who claimed they had all been dating Geoffrey at the same time without knowing about each other. He had been playing them all behind their backs.

They later created a group called “The Truth About Paschel” to discuss his behavior and to warn Varya about what she might be getting into. According to them, Varya blocked them on social media.

It was during this period that the group posted important dates and timelines they believed the public needed to know. According to the group, here is a key timeline of alleged events.

In January 2019, Geoffrey meets Varya on a dating site and they begin their relationship. In March 2019, Geoffrey asks Kristen to marry him.

Remember, at this time he is communicating with Varya and is still legally married to his ex-wife Brittney when he proposes to this third woman. On June 9th, 2019, came his most recent assault against his newest fiancée or girlfriend Kristen.

You can see how difficult it is to follow and how hard it is to pinpoint his exact relationship statuses. He seems to flip them on and off like a light switch.

But during this period she was supposedly his fiancée, or if not then at least his girlfriend. He was charged with aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault, interference with a 9-1-1 call, and vandalism.

We are going to examine all of that shortly. One month later, in July of 2019, Geoffrey travels to Russia to meet Varya and begins filming 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 4.

Remember, the season had only recently started airing. They were probably only a few episodes in when this information about Geoffrey’s past began leaking out.

It was during this time that Geoffrey was posting heavily on social media. He was doing interviews and confronting bloggers and websites he felt were painting him negatively.

During this period he remained adamant that all the charges against him were false and that he would ultimately be proven innocent. He was asked, “What about the charges against you? Like, do you feel like you’re going to beat these charges?”

Geoffrey replied, “I don’t feel like I’m going to—I know I’m going to. My court day gets put off specifically due to the pandemic. I’m pushing it, trying to get the quickest court date that I can and get this stuff over with.”

In fact, he was already speaking about the future and how he would demand an apology. He said, “I don’t think they’re gonna apologize. I’ll never get an apology from these people, which is sad.”

According to Geoffrey, this was all part of a scheme by jealous women he had rejected who wanted to spite him and take his children away. He said, “This is all just an agenda to try to make me lose custody of my child.”

He even boasted that prosecutors had offered him a plea deal which he claimed to have turned down. He said it was because he had overwhelming evidence that would prove his innocence.

Take mental note of that statement because we will return to it shortly. He said, “Right now I think I’m failing myself in this whole situation. I should have been smarter than this.”

He had no idea how disastrous this decision would turn out to be. Soon the world would meet the real Geoffrey, the one he had kept carefully hidden behind closed doors.

What we would discover would reveal the man behind the illusion. This was a man who possessed a dark, violent, controlling, and unbelievably evil side.

On Wednesday, October 6, 2021, Geoffrey’s trial began in Knoxville, Tennessee. Seasoned lawyers were scratching their heads wondering why someone in his position would reject such a favorable plea deal.

One asked, “What is it like representing someone like that when you’re offered what seemed to be a pretty lenient plea deal if in fact you’re not going to do any time whatsoever?” They continued, “What’s it like when you have a defendant who is convinced that they need their day in court and did nothing wrong? Well, the only thing you can do is advise them otherwise.”

They discussed how powerful victim testimony can be and how jurors tend to side with the victim. They thought the jury might connect with her, but that might not get through to him.

One attorney said, “This is a guy who likes the spotlight. My guess is, my opinion is, that Mr. Paschel thinks he can make a better connection with the jury—that he thinks that his story will be the one that’s believed.”

They added, “He has probably cast himself or believed himself to be an artful and skilled liar. But I think in his head he is anticipating some kind of victory that I don’t think is ever going to come.”

He’s going to anticipate full exoneration, and the sad reality is that is not going to happen. But as we discussed earlier, we have a strong theory about why Geoffrey took such a huge risk.

He took a big risk hoping for an even bigger reward. Especially since he kept proclaiming he had smoking gun evidence that would exonerate him.

Remember that point because we will come back to it. So the trial began.

It was expected to be a relatively quick case, and it was. I believe the entire trial lasted only two or three days.

You know what? It is one thing to read charges on a piece of paper. You look at the document or screen and it says “domestic assault.”

It is a necessary legal term, and I understand the need for consistent categorization. But in everyday language it feels very different when you see the photographs of the evidence and hear the story Kristen provided while on the stand.

What she endured is beyond frightening and enraging. In a moment we are going to hear from both the victim and from Geoffrey on the stand.

But first I think the best way to understand what happened that night is to listen to a condensed version of the prosecution’s opening statement. It really sheds light on the situation and what Kristen went through on the night of June 8th, 2019.

The two of them went to dinner and stayed for about three hours. They had a nice meal, some drinks, talked with friends, and then returned to Kristen’s house.

They let her dog out and took a moment to regroup. When they got back inside, she took the dog out while Mr. Paschel stayed in the house.

When she walked back in, she was attacked. He grabbed her by the back of her head and slammed her head into the hardwood floor.

He dragged her around the house. She had blood on her face and was trying to reach for a light switch; she could see blood smears on the switches and splatter on the walls.

She had scrapes on her elbows and bruises everywhere, including on the back of her neck where he had grabbed her while slamming her down. This seemed to go on forever; she blacked out multiple times.

He eventually told her to go wash her face after taking her phone and car keys. She was terrified and just wanted it to stop.

She washed her face and cleaned off as much blood as she could. He sat on the internet for about an hour or two while she lay there with nowhere to go and no way to leave.

He went through her phone deleting things. He synced her phone to his iCloud account and virtually erased every trace of himself.

Then he tried to lie down. After lying there for two hours following the brutal beating, she decided to take a chance.

She ran out of her house at two o’clock in the morning barefoot with no phone and no keys. She ran to her neighbor’s house and begged to be let inside.

The neighbor called 9-1-1. Miss Wilson was so scared when she arrived at the house that she hid behind cabinets.

This was a chilling account from the prosecutor. Kristen also took the stand to testify about her brutal injuries from that night.

What they showed in court was not only shocking but heartbreaking. The prosecutor asked, “The area of your head, your forehead—can you tell us how that injury was caused?”

Kristen replied, “That was him hitting the front of my head into the floors.” They showed another angle of the injury.

She said, “I can only assume this is from being dragged. I have the same marks on my knees and it felt like rug burn.”

When asked about her back, she said, “Yes it is… just being shoved into walls and furniture repeatedly.” The injuries to her face continued to develop over the following days.

She said, “That’s why they had forensics come back out and take pictures, because the bruising had kind of changed.” There was also bruising on her hands.

She said, “Yeah, from catching myself or attempting to catch myself… both of my palms right there were bruised.” I felt immediate sadness that quickly turned to anger when I saw these images.

I was not the only one; even the jury appeared visibly upset. There were reports everywhere of jurors looking angry and refusing to make eye contact with Geoffrey when he testified, which is never a good sign.

A field producer said some jurors seemed furious at what the defendant was saying on the stand. He claimed things like, “She tumbled out of the house; she bounced around the wall.”

The producer in the courtroom believed the jury was not buying his story. She said the male jurors were “mad-dogging” him.

One man scowled at him without his mask on; you could see he was not buying it. No one appeared charmed by him.

One man was making a fist and clenching his fingers. Another man on the front row closest to Paschel would not even look at him.

So let us listen to some of Geoffrey’s testimony. Of course, his version is that he is completely innocent and was framed.

He claims he was targeted by a scorned woman he had rejected. He says this woman was belligerently drunk and ran out of the house like a raving lunatic before smacking her forehead into the middle of a door frame.

I cannot do his nonsense justice by summarizing it; you need to hear it for yourself. Geoffrey said, “She had champagne, she went to a martini, and then her favorite is actually Cheetos and soda water… she had several Cheetos and soda water.”

When asked what he was drinking, Geoffrey said, “I had a beer to begin with and then moved over to two beers… then moved over to Jack and Coke.”

He claimed she drove to the residence even though he did not think it was a good idea, but she insisted. Geoffrey said, “I ended up walking her dog and that’s when it all began.”

He claimed she was watching him talk on the phone and things escalated from zero to one hundred. He described her demeanor as “very aggressive, very loud, very accusatory.”

Wow, okay, so very aggressive, very loud, and very accusatory? I wonder if he is mixing up his timeline because that description sounds a lot like his own behavior on the show.

I just have to point this out again: this is his behavior after meeting someone for the first time only five days earlier. This is during the time he is meeting her closest friends when you are supposed to be on your very best behavior.

I know I have said it many times, but it bears repeating: this is insane. So let us continue.

Geoffrey testified, “The argument escalated… the physical contact really didn’t in a sense that I kept pushing her away.” He claimed she was screaming and carrying on throughout the house.

He said, “I went to go leave. She attempted to grab my keys. Well, she did grab my keys and tried to bolt out the door.”

Geoffrey continued, “As she went to bolt out the door, the door opened. She ran smack into the door, the side of the door, as she ran out. So she grabbed my keys and turned and hit the open door and she jumbled out of the house.”

He claimed she tumbled out the door, went over the hedges, and ended up in the middle of the yard still screaming. Whose version of events sounds more believable to you?

There is only one set of facts that could have happened that night. Someone is lying, and I think we can all guess who that person is.

Probably one of the most outrageous moments in his testimony is that he suddenly cares about acting like a fool in public. He is now suddenly self-conscious about being too loud and too much in front of others.

Geoffrey said, “I walked around the side… and I told her, ‘Please get in the house. This is too loud for out here. This is too much.'”

The audacity of this man. It’s not funny; this is ridiculous.

So that was essentially the two competing stories. Remember, he kept insisting he had smoking gun evidence that would exonerate him.

He was relying heavily on certain text messages. He claimed to have messages from November 17th.

One text read, “You should have responded to me. This is your fault by acting like you’re above me. I told you not to leave me. All you had to do was take care of me and this has blown up and now I can’t stop it. In fact, I don’t even want to now. I’ll do everything I can for you to lose Kayvan.”

He claimed these were all from Kristen Wilson. He had screenshots that basically admitted guilt and said she had framed him.

But no one else could trace those phone records. He never gave his phone to the forensic team, but Kristen did.

Why would he wait until a year before the trial to even share that information? Listen, I am not buying it, and neither did the jury.

The prosecutor said, “Think about who gave their phone voluntarily to be examined. The person who purportedly sent these messages gave us her phone so that we could find these messages, and nothing emerged.”

They continued, “Miss Wilson sat there and told me she had nothing to hide. She voluntarily said to subpoena all her records. Nothing emerged.”

The state and defense both had access. They told the jury, “They want you to look at screenshots provided by the defendant that no one else has anything to do with. Half of them don’t even have full dates on them.”

There was one where the whole back page just said “December 22nd” with no year. They wanted the jury to look at these screenshots provided over a year after he was charged and believe she was lying.

Nothing emerged from her records. Each side rested their case, and it took the jury only two hours to reach their verdict.

The verdict was read: “The jury finds the defendant Geoffrey Ian Paschel guilty of domestic violence… and guilty of interference with emergency call.” With that, Geoffrey was taken away.

Even though he was found guilty, it would take months before his sentencing in February 2022. You can even tell by his appearance here that time has passed because he looks drastically different.

He was looking at a sentencing range of between twelve and twenty years. Obviously he wanted a much shorter sentence.

But the prosecutor used two key elements when asking for a higher range. The first was Geoffrey’s past criminal history.

The state asked for a mid-range sentence of sixteen years. They cited a previous history of criminal convictions and behavior.

He had a number of misdemeanor convictions noted in the report that were not in the memorandum. He had a theft conviction from 2014 and another from 2013.

The state proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Mr. Paschel had three convictions that could be counted on different offense dates. The judge said, “I do believe that the state has shown beyond a reasonable doubt that Mr. Paschel is a range two multiple offender.”

This placed his range of punishment somewhere between twelve and twenty years. They also wanted to provide testimony about domestic abuse incidents and his pattern of abusing women.

What Geoffrey had not anticipated was that one of his ex-wives would testify during sentencing about her experiences. Not surprisingly, a lot of her description sounded eerily similar to what he had been accused of doing to Kristen.

There were allegations of domestic violence, holding her in a shower, hitting her with a belt, pulling her by her hair, and allegations of rape. When Geoffrey realizes what is happening, the look on his face shows he is not happy.

The state believed this was incredibly relevant to the enhancement factor as criminal behavior. They believed Ms. Moon would testify that for years she was the subject of physical abuse by this defendant.

The state believed that what Miss Moon was going to testify to was essential. She stated her name as Alison Moon.

She was previously married to Geoffrey Paschel. They met in late 2006 and were married shortly after until mid-2013.

They had one child together, a boy named Caruso. When asked if there was physical abuse during the marriage, she said, “Yes there was.”

It began four months after they were married. She said, “I began to question his fidelity… and so when I brought it to his attention, he would often get defensive and start to make me think that what I was saying was wrong or that I was crazy.”

She described the first time: “It just immediately snapped like no warning. He jumped on me and held me to the ground but had his hand over my mouth just squeezing it.”

After that first incident, he was extremely apologetic and promised it would never happen again. She called the police one time.

There was a time they were separated and she lived in Florida. He showed up unannounced at her parents’ house and walked in through the back door.

She said, “The first thing I did was hid my phone because the typical pattern is he’d take my phone so I wouldn’t have means to contact anybody.” She found him in the kitchen and he tried to smooth talk her.

Before she knew it, she had been backed into her bedroom. She said, “I remember him forcing me onto my bed and he started touching my private areas and telling me we’re gonna have sex. I didn’t want it; I was telling him no.”

She was able to wiggle free and ran out the back of the house to a neighbor’s door. He had come out of her house and laughed.

She went inside, locked the doors, and called 9-1-1. She made a police report at that time.

But she did not follow through with charges because she was so afraid of what he would do. She said he was unpredictable.

In the end, the prosecutor recommended a sentence of sixteen years because he was a danger to society and showed no real potential for rehabilitation. This is an individual who for at least the last fifteen years has tormented the women in his life.

He verbally assaulted them, mentally abused them, controlled them, and physically assaulted them. Miss Wilson testified that she cannot even walk her dogs down the street anymore.

They said these women stay because he controlled every aspect of their lives. He’s done this for the better part of his adult life.

“We do believe that he is an extreme danger to society… he has a very high lack of potential for rehabilitation.” They noted he was still blaming the entire thing on the victim.

Even after conviction, he was directing his family to take his kids to her house with her address to ask her to testify for him. He’s taken absolutely no responsibility for this.

The prosecutor said, “We do not believe that he was truthful when he testified at the trial.” The jury also apparently did not believe the injuries were sustained from falling into a door.

Geoffrey had his moment of allocution to address the judge and beg for leniency. He said, “I’m a 44-year-old man… I have a beautiful family, beautiful friends. I’m a dad; got children right there.”

He mentioned he might be a grandfather soon. He said, “I respect Miss Wilson Chapman; I respect Miss Moon. Miss Moon is the mother of my child… I wish nothing but the best for them.”

He claimed there was a different circumstance of events that occurred but he still respected them. He said, “Punished, punished and broken… I want to be better.”

He claimed that people wrote letters saying he goes out of his way to help people and it gives him internal satisfaction. “I ask that you have mercy on me, you have mercy on my family, my kids, and show me leniency.”

He said he wanted to be a productive member of society and be back in their lives. What came next was absolutely unbelievable.

The judge’s response began: “The court is called upon to impose a sentence here that is consistent with the purposes of principles of the Tennessee Sentencing Reform Act.” The judge said he carefully considered the evidence and the results of his risk and needs assessment.

It indicated he was a moderate risk with high needs in the mental health domain. The judge stated, “Mr. Paschel, like every human being, has good aspects. And he has some aspects here that we have seen have been exposed that are very dark and are really evil.”

He was not surprised that Geoffrey could convince friends and family that he is a good guy. “He’s a handsome guy, he’s charismatic, he’s also very image-conscious.”

The judge said, “What we have seen here and what has been exposed in this trial is that what is going on behind closed doors is much different than the image that Mr. Paschel projects out to the rest of the world.”

The judge stated, “This behavior towards these women is sick. It is sadistic. It goes beyond the desire to inflict physical harm on these women; it speaks of a deep psychological issue.”

The judge believed Mr. Paschel had a desire to inflict as much emotional damage as possible. He cited the incident in Florida where he snuck in the back door.

He said the record showed Mr. Paschel is manipulative and thinks he can just talk his way out of this. He was deeply concerned that while in custody, Geoffrey was attempting to have a third party go see the victim.

This was in direct contravention of the court’s order. “And not only that, he was willing to use his children as a pawn in this illicit scheme… that’s disgusting and he should be disgusted by that behavior.”

The judge asked him to stand. “The court finds that the appropriate sentence in this case is 18 years to serve. You’re a range two offender.”

The judge noted this would be a 100 percent service rate. The misdemeanor counts would run concurrently.

With that, the illusion and the facade were utterly and completely shattered for the entire world to see. I think everyone in that courtroom and everyone watching across the world finally saw the real Geoffrey.

Geoffrey was sentenced to serve 18 years without the possibility of parole. Now his attorney has filed an appeal, so we will have to stay on top of what happens.

I have a feeling this is not over and probably more is going to happen. But I really hope that the buck stops here and that this story remains the most dark, outrageous, and heinous 90-Day Fiancé scandal that ever happens.

Can we just hope for that? Let’s not do anything else any more scandalous than this; let’s just keep it here. Let’s keep it PG and let’s hope it remains this way. We are not stopping here either.
